How it works
WarmUp lets you practice real networking conversations with an AI — so you can work out the awkward parts before they happen in real life. No judgment, no stakes, just useful feedback.
Your data is private, never sold, and deletable any time from your Profile. Privacy details ↓
Four steps, start to finish
Fill in a short background — your current role, experience, and what you're trying to achieve through networking. The more specific you are, the more realistic the practice conversation will feel.
Pick a name, job title, industry, and how you're connected to them — a complete stranger, a warm introduction from a mutual contact, a former colleague, or an old friend. The AI becomes that person.
The screen looks like a video call. Type your messages, or tap the microphone button to speak — your words appear in the input box for review before you send them. Conversations are powered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic.
When you're ready, click "End & evaluate." You'll receive a letter grade (A through F), a list of what you did well, specific things to improve, and exact phrases you can use next time. All coaching is AI-generated — treat it as a starting point, not a final verdict.
AI can make mistakes. Treat responses and coaching as a starting point, not a final judgment.
After the session
After any completed session, the app can write a follow-up email or text message for you — based on what was actually said in the conversation. Copy it, personalise it, and send it.
Download the full transcript, your grade, and all coaching notes as a text file. Useful for reviewing later or sharing with a coach or mentor.
Every session is saved to your history. You can go back and review any conversation, re-read the coaching, or compare grades across sessions to see how you're improving over time.
The 4 communication styles
Every person you talk to has a dominant style — the lens through which they filter information and decide whether to trust you. Learning to read it quickly is one of the highest-leverage networking skills, especially for introverts who already listen well. WarmUp uses this framework to give you targeted feedback after every session.
Goal-driven— Results, efficiency, the bottom line
- ·Talks about outcomes, ROI, and what gets done
- ·Direct and time-conscious — gets to the point fast
- ·Asks 'what does this achieve?' before 'how does it work?'
Lead with the outcome first, then the story. Skip the warm-up and make your ask early — they respect directness.
Task-driven— Process, structure, how things work
- ·Asks detailed questions about steps, timelines, and risks
- ·Values accuracy and reliability over enthusiasm
- ·Uncomfortable with vague plans or open-ended ideas
Show your work. Come with specifics — what you've done, what you're planning, what you need. Credibility is built through preparation, not energy.
Vision-driven— Ideas, change, the big picture
- ·Talks about possibilities, innovation, and future states
- ·Energised by 'what if' and 'imagine when'
- ·May lose interest if the conversation stays too tactical
Connect your ask to a larger idea or change you both care about. Open with the big picture before you zoom in — they engage with meaning before method.
People-driven— Relationships, team, impact on others
- ·Talks about how things affect the people involved
- ·Values trust and connection before business
- ·Interested in your story, motivations, and values
Slow down and connect personally before you pivot to your goal. Ask about their team or experience. Rushing to the ask feels transactional — they need to like you first.
Framework based on Dr. Shade Zahrai's 4-style communication model. After each session, WarmUp identifies which style your conversation partner exhibited and coaches you on how well you adapted.

How are my sessions saved?
Sessions are saved to your account on our servers. When you join the beta you provide an email address — that ties your session history to you so it persists as long as your account exists. As long as you use the same browser without clearing cookies, you'll be signed in automatically and your full history will be there when you return. A future version will let you sign in from any device.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your sessions, transcripts, grades, and coaching are visible only to you and the app developer. The developer may access session data solely to improve the product — never for any other purpose. Your conversation content is sent to Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, to generate responses and coaching. No data is sold or shared with any third party. See the 'Your privacy, plainly stated' section at the top of this page for a full breakdown of what is stored and how it is used.
Can I delete my data?
Yes, and you don't need to contact anyone to do it. Go to your Profile page and click 'Delete my account.' This instantly and permanently deletes everything associated with your account — your email, all conversation transcripts, grades, coaching history, and profile. It cannot be undone.
Who processes my conversations?
Your messages are sent to Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, which generates the persona's responses and your post-session coaching. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to that processing. No data is shared with any other third party.
Can I fully trust the grade and coaching?
Use it as a starting point, not a verdict. AI can make mistakes — it may miss context, misread tone, or suggest phrasing that doesn't fit your specific situation. The 'Say this instead' section is the most useful output, but always apply your own judgment before using any suggestion in a real conversation.
Is the AI going to be nice to me?
It will be realistic, not harsh. If you say something awkward, the persona will react the way a real person might — a little guarded, or gently redirecting. That's intentional. Safe, honest practice is the whole point.
How long should a session be?
Aim for 8–15 exchanges — long enough to go past the small talk and into substance, short enough that you can actually review the feedback. You can end whenever you feel ready.
Can I practice the same scenario more than once?
Yes. Start a new session and set up the same persona again. Each conversation is independent, so you can try a completely different approach and compare the results.
What if I'm not sure what to say?
That's exactly why you're here. Just start with a simple hello and see where it goes. After the session, the coaching will show you what to do differently next time.
A session takes about 10 minutes. You can stop and review feedback at any point.
